Polo HQ Cookie Policy
Effective date: 30 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how POLO HQ LTD uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on the Polo HQ website, web application and related browser-based services.
It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small data files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, software development kit identifiers and other methods that store or access information on a device.
2. Current approach
Polo HQ currently uses technologies that are necessary to:
-
create and maintain secure sessions;
-
authenticate Users;
-
protect against fraud and unauthorised access;
-
remember language or essential interface settings;
-
operate signup, activation and native-to-web handoff links;
-
maintain load balancing and application delivery; and
-
complete Stripe-hosted payment or billing functions requested by the User.
At the effective date, Polo HQ does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural profiling cookies in the Service.
3. Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies may be set without consent where they are required to provide a service the User requested or to secure it.
Typical purposes include:
The exact technical name may vary by environment, provider and application release. Polo HQ will maintain the live implementation so that the purpose and duration remain proportionate.
4. Stripe and third-party pages
When you open Stripe Checkout or Stripe's customer portal, Stripe may set cookies or similar technologies on its own domains for payment security, fraud prevention and service operation. Stripe's own cookie and privacy information applies to those technologies.
Infrastructure providers may also set strictly necessary technical identifiers required to deliver or protect their services.
5. Analytics and non-essential technologies
If Polo HQ introduces analytics, advertising, personalisation or other non-essential technologies that require consent, they will not be activated before a valid consent choice is obtained.
The consent interface will allow rejection as easily as acceptance and will provide controls to change the choice.
6. Browser and device controls
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential technologies may prevent login, payment, security or other core functions from working.
7. Retention
Cookies and similar technologies are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for their stated purpose. Session technologies normally expire when the session ends. Persistent technologies expire according to the security or preference period set in the live implementation.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy when technology, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated.
